| Activities: Obedience: May 21, 1966 - in his first trial, a score of 196.5 earned first place in Novice A (in a class of 63 dogs) and third highest scoring “other breed.” September 25, 1966 - with a score of 195.5 in Novice B, he earned fourth highest scoring terrier. October 16, 1966 - completed his AKC Companion Dog (CD) title. April 21, 1968 - with a score of 195 earned first place in Open A and second highest scoring terrier. April 21, 1968 - completed his AKC Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) title. Conformation: Owen was owner-handled locally. In addition to eight times in the breed ring, he was shown three times in Junior Showmanship by Lucy Eldredge. A well known Welsh terrier, CH Golden Oak Jim Royal, CD, earned some of his championship points in competition with Owen. |
